1. What is a lookbook?A lookbook is a zine that collects fanwork of characters in various outfits of contributors’ design, focusing on details and including closeups if necessary, akin to the setup of a real fashion editorial magazine. (Think Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Dazed etc.) Check out this Pinterest board for reference: pin.it/6KX3yCn0FBackgrounds may enhance the overall look of the piece, but are not necessary. The layout mod will assist with flavor text and staging design to ensure the final zine is cohesive.2. What are the zine specifications?Prestige is an unofficial for-profit SFW physical & digital zine centered on current and upcoming playable Honkai: Star Rail characters working under the Interastral Peace Corporation. The project will include a full-color illustrated magazine with plenty of written content and merch.3. Which characters will be featured in this lookbook?Our primary lineup will consist of Topaz, Aventurine, Jade, Pearl, Obsidian,
Opal, Madam Yabuli, Arita Kenneth, Kuchiba and Beatrice Mellanine/Nihilux.The following characters will be included on a secondary focus basis: Sugilite, Skott, Velite, Owlbert, Dr. Ratio, Robin, Asta and Ashveil.Primary characters will each get focus artwork as well as focus written pieces, while secondary characters will receive focus artwork, but not focus written content. No other characters will be allowed in the zine except as minor cameos.In following editions, none of the above characters will be primary focus characters. The primary lineup will become the secondary lineup, whereas the secondary lineup will not be featured as focal characters altogether (except as cameos), with the exception of Sugilite, who may become a primary focus character in this edition or future editions depending on when his full design is revealed.Please note that this is the fairest way to maintain the manageability of the zine. We hope to include more employees in future instalments.4. Is shipping and AU content allowed?All relationships depicted in this zine should be ostensibly platonic. Romance between characters may be implied at most, but should never be the focus. AU content will only be allowed if presented as photography / high fashion concepts.5. Is there an age requirement?Contributors must be 18 or over at the time of application.6. Do contributors need to have previous zine experience?Not at all!7. Can contributors apply to more than one role?Yes, but with the exception of the cover artist, contributor applicants will only be accepted for one role.8. How many contributors will Prestige be accepting?The numbers will depend on our interest check results!9. How will contributors be compensated?We aim to compensate all contributors with a physical copy and the full digital bundle at minimum; however, if funds are insufficient, contributors will receive the full digital bundle instead and a payout for profits. In the best-case scenario, we hope to fund full physical bundles for all contributors, shipping included. Otherwise, contributors may receive items at production cost.10.
